Additional information such as maps of the area were sourced from online sources such as the BBC. The next chart is an example of an analysis of the terrorist group Jemaah Islamiyah who are aligned with AlQaeda. This chart combines a link chart showing the connections between individuals, organisations and events and a timeline chart showing terrorist bombings that have occurred in South East Asia. Information used in this analysis is open source from the International Crisis Group and BBC News.
