SaffronAnalyst™ is the analysts interface to Saffron's associative memory base. SaffronAnalyst is a thin-client, Web 2.0-based application for knowledge discovery and sharing that is built on SaffronEnterprise™ to create both end user and data source memories, each within an agent-based perspective. All source material, structured and/or unstructured, is modeled as a massive network of entities for every person, place, and thing. Every such entity is a primary key and allows the user to quickly "fly" through the entity network at the knowledge level of entity-entity relationships. These relationships are context-dependent, allowing the user to see only the relevant relationships rather than "balls of yarn" produced by conventional tools.
Filtering massive entity networks, SaffronAnalyst™ shows only the entities and links relevant to the context of the query. The source material is also indexed by these associative memories down to the sentence ("snippet") level for unstructured sources, and record level for structured sources, and is displayed as evidence of the entities and links. SaffronAnalyst™ also maintains associative memories that model users' interaction with the data. These implicit models of user behavior help refine each user's intention as well as providing an expertise directory of other users (and their tasks) with similar interests and discoveries if the user chooses to share.
SaffronAnalyst™ goes well beyond the capability of a typical search engine, providing new and interesting discoveries that the user didn't even know to ask for, the evidence that supports the suggested relationships, and the ability to collaborate with other users to share their discoveries.
- Exploit all available data to uncover entityassociations and supporting evidence
- Work with the most current data via automatic, real-time updates from disparate systems
- Detect similar identities and non-obvious entity associations
- Consolidate all association evidence for each entity
- Accelerate the discovery of missing information by "dipping" tagged evidence
- Save time searching for data, creating more time for analysis
- Collaborate and share discoveries with larger communities
- Publish results to desktop analytical tools such as i2 Analyst's Notebook®, ESRI® and GoogleEarth®
- Fuse intelligence from multiple systems while protecting previous IT investments
- Overcome "data overload" by transforming disparate systems into a strategic asset
