Course Name: Analyst’s Notebook
Duration: 4 days
Prerequisites: It is recommended that delegates have prior knowledge of the MS Windows Operating System prior to attending the course.
The Analyst’s Notebook Course is designed for new users and focuses on the fundamental concepts of visual investigative analysis. This includes (but is not limited to) learning how to:
- Create association and timeline charts for presentation and analysis using a consistent approach and establish correct naming protocols.
- Incorporate images such as maps, video files and photographs into their charts.
- Use the new enhanced Import Specification Wizard to import large volumes of data to create association and/or timeline charts.
- Use the analytical tools and layouts to query and locate data on charts.
- Use the Find Matching Entities function to find potential duplicates on a chart.
- Prepare charts for professional reporting using titles and legends.
- Using and creating templates to customise the user palettes, entities, links and attributes used in Analyst’s Notebook.
