Being able to analyse ANPR data substantially increases an organisation's intelligence and crime solving capabilities. With the i2 ANPR Solution, that capability is extended further, by capturing, controlling and analysing multi-source data in a secure environment.

Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) data is a rich source of information that has the potential to add considerable value to both post-incident investigation and proactive intelligence analysis in many areas, including counter-terrorism, cross-border investigation and major crime.

The full potential of ANPR data can only be unlocked when it is analysed in the context of data obtained from other sources, such as crime, intelligence and incident databases. The layering of these data sources can help to create a vivid picture of criminal lifestyles and patterns of movement, assist with the profiling of problems, and contribute to the efficient and effective deployment of valuable policing resources.

At the heart of the i2 ANPR Solution is a dedicated analysis environment that manages every aspect of ANPR analysis. It is an add-on component to i2's award winning database and analysis products i2 iBase 5 and i2 Analyst's Workstation 3 and has been specifically developed for organisations seeking to maximise the benefit of ANPR data and their investment in camera technology.

As an iBase 5 optional component, iBase 5 ANPR fits effortlessly into an environment existing customers will be familiar with, and new customers will quickly master. Deployment will provide seamless integration with existing infrastructure and security. Other elements of the solution provide data extraction, transformation and loading of data from ANPR source systems into iBase or Analyst's Workstation.

Manage your ANPR data – Benefit from a scalable database solution storing ANPR data in a single, secure environment

Integrate ANPR data with data from multiple sources – Realise the full potential of your ANPR data by combining ANPR data in iBase with data from others sources

Search for hidden associations and patterns across all your data – Undertake analysis across different data sources to discover hidden links and new meanings in the data

Improve efficiency – Derive the full value from your ANPR data in an efficient and cost-effective manner by cutting through time-consuming analytical tasks with dedicated tools and workflows designed around the use of ANPR data

Design powerful queries easily – Carry out convoy analysis, geographical profiling and other data analysis tasks without needing to learn a complicated query language to support analytical tasks such as post-incident investigations and proactive intelligence analysis

Close integration with other i2 products – Combine ANPR with Analyst's Workstation, i2's leading analytical suite, and benefit from a complete set of integrated visual analytical tools

Capitalise on existing investment – Current customers can maximize investment by adding i2’s ANPR Solution to their existing iBase 5 or Analyst's Workstation 3 implementations

Build your analytical capabilities using industry standard intelligence products – As an iBase add-on, iBase 5 ANPR immediately allows the user to begin sharing information using products in use and supported around the world

Ease of implementation – Delivered with support for enterprise installer systems. Adding ANPR to an existing iBase 5 or Analyst's Workstation implementation is both easy and cost-effective

Ensure the integrity of information – Enforce security and integrity through administrative control of audited user roles provided by iBase 5

Use the i2 ANPR Solution to perform:

Convoy Analysis – Compare a target list of vehicles to the ANPR records to discover co-occurrences of vehicles travelling in convoy together. Convoy analysis will help the analyst identify suspicious vehicles travelling together, spot where cash in transit vehicles are being followed, and highlight the possibility of compromised undercover operations.

Geographical Profiling – Compare ANPR reads around any number of incident sites to discover vehicles that have been seen at more than one of the sites during the days and times specified by the analyst.

Find Common Vehicles – Analyse sets of ANPR reads to find vehicles common to more than one set.

Merge Vehicle Data Sets – Due to the large number of sets an analyst can accumulate when analyzing ANPR records, Merge Vehicle Data Sets extends the iBase set analysis functionality to allow the analyst to select as many sets as required and then combine them all at the click of a button.

Retrieve Image – Call up an image from the source ANPR system, displaying it in read-only mode for the ANPR analyst to view.

Make, Model and Colour Cross-Referencing – Cross reference ANPR data with existing information about makes, models and colours
